Loki says stay cool!

Dorset BulldogPictured right is beautiful Loki, enjoying the sunshine. To make sure you enjoy the sun as much as Loki is, just a few quick reminders (further to our previous posts http://blog.grovelodge.co.uk/page/8/), to ensure you and your pets stay safe in the sun.

Make sure your pets have access to shade and fresh water at all times.

Always walk dogs early in the morning or later in the evening when the sun has gone down.

NEVER EVER leave your pet in a hot car, even for just a few minutes. Heatstroke can occur in a very short space of time and can be fatal. If you suspect your pet has heatstroke, drench it with cool water and wet towels and take it to the vet IMMEDIATELY.

If you are having a BBQ, make sure all bones, corn on theĀ cob kernelsĀ and kebab sticks are kept well out of your pet’s reach to avoid the danger of choking.

We will be featuring Loki soon on the blog as she is a very unusual breed – a Dorset Bulldog – and is looking for a new home. Could you be the new owners this loving young dog is looking for? Take a look at www.wadars.co.uk

Now where did I put the sun cream …?!
