Saved by a whisker!

Ginger kittenA few weeks ago, Andrew Ash (Grove Lodge partner) and his family came back from their annual holidays in Ireland with an additional member of the family - as pictured right! The children had found a kitten hiding under cars parked around the harbour where they were staying. Andrew reckoned she was only about 4 weeks old. Of course, the children were all for keeping her, but Andrew insisted that someone must be missing her, so he asked around the village and was horrified to learn that the kitten had probably escaped from a litter that went off the harbour with a brick in a bag. That was it! Kitten spent the rest of the holiday living in the bathroom, sleeping in the bidet and travelled home in a washing up bowl!

Kitten is now settling in well to the chaotic life of the Ash family.

Andrew is just recovering from having to pay the first vet¹s bill he¹s had to pay in a long time: he had to go and buy worming and flea treatments for the kitten in Ireland, as these were the only items in an extensive first aid armoury that he didn¹t take with him!
