Birds of a feather flock together?

Posted by on 23/01/09, filed under News | No Comments

Find out if that’s true this weekend by joining in with the world’s biggest wildlife survey, which is celebrating its 30th birthday this weekend.

Up to half a million people take part in this annual event and make an enormous difference to tracking the number of garden birds in the UK throughout the winter.

Not only does this event help monitor garden birds in the UK, it inspires people young and old to get involved with other areas of wildlife conservation.

It’s really easy to join in. Simply take an hour over this weekend and make a note of all the birds you see in the garden or park and record the highest number of each bird species seen at any one time. Have a look at the RSPB website for more details.

Why not take some pictures of the birds you spot in your garden this weekend and send them to us? There will be a prize for the best picture received!
