Man saves cat’s life
Posted by Abigail on 05/06/09, filed under News | 1 CommentThere are many words that could be used to describe the children who were found playing catch with a tiny kitten in Worthing recently, however none of them are fit to be printed.
A gentleman was walking his dog in Homefield Park when he heard the distressed cries of the kitten and realised two young boys, aged around twelve, were playing catch and football with her in a rucksack.
Luckily, he managed to chase the boys off and take the kitten to Grove Lodge. It is a miracle that when she was examined, the kitten was found to be nothing more than very shocked and bruised. If it had not been for the actions of this caring passer by, it is more than likely these brutal thugs would have killed this tiny bundle, who is thought to be only around 6 weeks of age.
It is hard to imagine what possesses a 12 year old child to attack a defenceless kitten. Such a beautiful baby animal would enchant most children, not inspire them to terrify and torture it.
If they are capable of this, how long before they are attacking other children? What happens when these violent children become violent adults? The boys were described as being around 12 years of age, one with dark hair, beige tracksuit bottoms, a dark t-shirt and black trainers. The other is thought to be the same age, with beige tracksuit bottoms, blonde short hair, blue and white t-shirt and white trainers. If you know anything about this shocking attack, please contact Sussex Police on 08456 070 999 quoting incident number 743/050609.

Speaking as a parent and an animal lover i am deeply shocked and appalled by this story! These children should ashamed of themselves. Thay want stringing up! I would like to know or understand where they got such a young kitten from, surely it should still have been with its mummy. My cat has not long agao had a litter of kittens and i wouldnt dream of seperating them untill there at least 10 weeks! I hope the police find the people responsible and punish them accordingly, including the parents!
