Grove Lodge team is Purrrfect!

On Saturday 31 October 2009, there were strange goings on at Ferring Village Hall. Zombies and witches, cats and corpses all joined together for …….. the 5th Cats Protection Quiz Night! (Actually, they were just folk in fancy dress, but they were quite scary nonetheless!)
Our spellbinding quizmaster for the night was Rod, who baffled the teams with tricky questions ranging from ‘the name of Sherlock Holmes’ housekeeper?’ (Mrs Hudson) to ‘which William Wyler film won 11 academy awards?’ (Ben Hur), with ‘which rock legend was recently sent to prison for murdering Lana Clarkson?’ (Phil Spectre) in between.
All in all it was a great night – especially as the Grove Lodge team, Feline Spooky, won! Not only that but our very own Sue Winder won a prize for the best costume, dressed as a very ghoulish blood soaked corpse, complete with meat cleaver! A good time was had by all.
