If you were watching Meridian this week, you might have seen the remarkable story of Poppy the Springer Spaniel. She was out walking with her owners near cliffs, when she spotted a seagull and set out in hot pursuit – straight over the edge of the 300ft cliff.

“Being a vet, I had been called to examine a ten-year-old Irish Wolfhound named Belker. The dog’s owners were all very attached to Belker and they were hoping for a miracle.
