If you were watching the news this morning, you might have heard the piece regarding the latest RSPCA figures. The RSPCA reports an increase in convictions for dog cruelty of more than a third. This, however, is not necessarily an indication of an increase in cruelty, but could reflect the effectiveness of the new Animal Welfare Act.
