Whilst browsing the RSPCA website, I came across this petition – organised by Thorpe House School in Norwich – as part of a school animal action club they have set up called Speak Out for Animals. They are campaigning for microchipping of dogs to become law – what wonderful children!

Just a few pounds on a flea treatment would have prevented a little dog called Scally from suffering enormous discomfort and her owner from a large fine and community service. Scally had flea allergic dermatitis which went untreated as her owner would not pay vet’s bills.
