A lady contacted us further to our post about the baby pigeons, enquiring about the best action to take as she had found one who couldn’t yet fly.
If the bird is uninjured, always leave it where it is if at all possible. The parents will be keeping a watchful eye on their baby and continue to feed it even if it is not in the nest.

As we have mentioned here on the blog before, we have been inundated with baby birds recently and in particular baby seagulls. Some of these have not been injured, but appeared to have been abandoned by their parents having maybe fallen out of the nest.
